Dublin, our glorious and beautiful capital city

Trinity College Clock
Even with all our current woes, what a great and beautiful city we all live in!
Today I had the pleasure of strolling around town and taking some snaps. The weather was wonderful and Dublin was sparkling and gleaming in the sunshine. Sometimes we forget how well off we are in our storied and cultured city.  Trinity College is a gem of architecture with the mixture of new and historical buildings pleasing to the eye.

The stately and flowing Liffey river whether your look towards the city or out to sea always looks the part.

Finally, and to be topical a building in College Green. I wonder what it's future holds, will it continue to be "The Bank of Ireland College Green" or is there a new chapter ahead?

Cathy is showing us the way

Today is a good day

We are in a recession in case you haven’t noticed. Our ILP class this morning though is certainly not in recessionary mode. We are using the opportunities which are being presented to us today and allowing ourselves to expand and grow in mind body and spirit.

Protesting for their futures

Today, I was in town and was impressed with the fine turn out of students protesting against possible fee increases. I believe that making decisions to deal with out current recessionary deficit should definitely not involve education. If there is one thing that we all have learned is that "EDUCATION IS THE FUTURE....".

The marching student's banners, posters and t-shirts said it all:
                              EDUCATION NOT EMIGRATION
